SHIPMATE PASSING: I got a letter back from a shipmate marked "DEC." After checking this out, it definitely meant "deceased." The letter was sent to Shipmate Jim McWilliams of Castell, Texas. Jim was a BM3 and served on the Altair during the 1967-1968 period. Our condolences to the Jim McWilliams family.
MINI-REUNION: It looks like the attendance will be good at the 'mini' reunion in Charleston, SC, Oct. 26-28 as over 25 shipmates have signed up. Sounds like fun! This is mainly a planning reunion for our next 'major' reunion and getting the Altair Plaque off the ground.
FINANCIAL: The beginning balance was $2926.28 with receipts of $170 and expenses of $41.82 leaving an balance of $3054.46. $100 of the receipts was for the Altair Plaque.
That's all for now. Please contact me with any questions or comments at cmbaltairaks32@fastmail.us
Best Regards To All..........Charles
