Book release

Greetings Altair Shipmates.  

Altair shipmate Doug Justice, MA3, 1964, has written two great educational and history books referencing noted people who served in military with the other book detailing the great and epic sea battles in World War II.   Shipmate Justice resides in Munford, TN.

Those who Served - an Educational and Historical look at Actors/Actresses, Sports figures, Politicians, Writers, Artist and Presidents who served in a military.  From the start of the US up to and including Afghanistan.
When I could find them, included a  picture of the person in a movie or TV  series or a profile  picture plus a  picture of them in uniform and some with a military picture of a plane or ship or whatever. 
Each Chapter is by the combat theater with the celebrities in Alphabetical order within the conflict they served in.  The Celebrities start with WW1 and the Presidents  start with the Revolutionary War.

Epic Sea Battles of WW2 - a historical look at the Allie and Axis Navies that fought in WW2.  Includes a chapter of the Jutland sea battle between the German High Seas Fleet and the British Grand Seas Fleet.  Includes a picture of ships from each Navy with lots of maps of actions.  Includes references of Navy Terms, US Naval ship naming conventions, Ship loses by Country, Battleship to Battleship comparison, Proximity Fuses.
Each Chapter is by year with the battles (as they occurred) month  by month.

Greetings Altair Shipmates.  Here is your monthly report for May 2018.

REUNION:  If any shipmate needs additional info or reunion forms, please let me know.  I have put both info files into PDF form which makes it easier to use and print out.  

SHIPMATE MAILINGS:  After snail mailing about 140 plus reunion infos, I had about 25 returns for wrong/incorrect/etc addresses.  Even got a couple of "Deceased" notifications by the USPS.  Several returns included the correct new address and they were re-mailed.  Others I tried to track down and re-mailed and most came back as undeliverable.  

FINANCIAL:  The beginning and ending cash-on-hand is $326.92; no income or expenses.  The beginning and ending Altair savings is $10,229.19 no income or expenses.  Total cash-on-hand $10,556.11.
